The Nature’s Park, opened for visitors at Daringbadi, the hill town of Kandhamal district. Odisha forest and environment minister Bikram Keshari Arukh inaugurated the park.
The Nature’s Park has been developed by the forest department for over Rs 55 lakh. It will have a butterfly park, a medicinal garden, 3D film theatres, a display of life-size models of wild animals and an exhibit of the traditions of Kutia Kandh, one of the vulnerable tribal groups residing in the Belaghara area in the district.
Around 50 medicinal plant species have been planted in the medicinal garden. The 3D film theatre has a capacity of 40. “It will screen shows about the importance of conservation of wildlife and environment.
