The Ma Ghanteshwari temple is located at Chipilima on the outskirts of Sambalpur in Odisha. The temple is located in a picturesque place on the banks of the river. According to the name, many devotees hang bells for Mother Ghanteshwari in the big trees in the courtyard of the temple. Countless devotees from all over the state and even from other states come to visit this beautiful place. About 450 years ago, the king of Nagpur in Maharashtra, along with the king of Sambalpur, came to the forest here to hunt deer. Suddenly a boy and a girl appeared in that place and blocked the path of the two kings. Finally, following the words of the two tender children, the two kings inquired about their identities when they returned. He ran into the forest yesterday morning, saying he knew everything. The arrival of the two young children in the forest surprised the two kings as they returned to the royal palace. In the late hours of the night, the two boys and girls came in a dream, identifying themselves as Har and Parvati. At the meeting place, the two goddesses waited for the king to come tomorrow morning and asked the village heroes and tribesmen of Bagbera to take care of them. In the Brahma moment, King Brahma arrived at the place with some soldiers, and the boy saw the lifeless stone idol instead of the girl. Since then, worship of Har and Parvati on the banks of the river and at the foot of the hills has continued in the form of forest dwellers. The goddess is so named because the goddess has given the king an alarm. Others say that the name was given because the goddess was chasing the devotees for hours. According to the proverb, if you donate a brass watch manually, your desires will be fulfilled. That’s why countless devotees come here and tie bells of different sizes.
