Rajarani Temple

Rajarani Temple is a Shiva temple in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It was built in the 11th century by the Somavanshi rulers. At that time it was known as the temple of Indreshwar.

The Rajarani temple is built of sandstone mixed with yellow and red, which is called the Rajarani stone. The temple is facing east. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple is built in the style of Rekha and Jagmohan Pidha. The Rajarani temple is built in the Pancharatha style. The temple is a contemporary of the Jagannath Temple in Puri. The Archaeological Survey of India is currently maintaining the Rajarani Temple. The Rajarani Sangeet Mahotsav is held at the Rajarani Mandir from January 18 to 20 every year by the Government of Odisha. Musicians from different parts of India perform.
