This album is a humble musical tribute to Kazi Nazrul Islam. For the first time, Nazrul Geeti in Oriya has been translated and recorded in any Indian language in the form of a studio album. Veteran Odia film lyricist and music director Swaroop Naik has translated the songs into Odia.

Kazi Nazrul Islam wrote and composed music for his nearly 4,000 songs, collectively known as Nazrul Geeti, which are widely popular today. He created an avant-garde genre of Modern Bengali Songs. He also wrote short stories, novels, and essays but is best known for his poems, in which he pioneered new forms such as Bengali Ghazals. His writings explore themes such as love, freedom, and revolution.
