Atharanala is an ancient pole and historical site established in 1300 in the Puri zilla district of Odisha. After crossing the Atharanala, the Jagannath Temple or the Shrimandir appears. On the way to Puri by bus, there is an octagon on the way. The octagonal bridge is 280 feet long. When the eighteen canals arrived, devotees and pilgrims thought they were too close to the shrine. From the eighteen canals, the temple’s blue wheel and Dadhinauti are visible.
