Mayadhar Mansinha was the first editor of Arati started in 1939 but relinquished this responsibility after seven issues. The magazine’s objective was to find the commonalities among Odia writers with differing views
and oulook and to serve as an unifying platform for these diverse groups. Articles published in the magazine had a flavour distinct from other contemporary magazines.It stopped publication only after one year.
